The 'Johnston Revisited' exhibitions held during the summer proved to be very popular. At the Harbourfest Homecoming event the exhibition tent attracted both locals and visitors ,among them an encouraging number of young people. The Society's new facility that produces large-format prints has revealed intriguing new details within the images with new story-lines emerging.
A week-long display in the foyer of Pultenetown Parish Church had the added attraction of being partially visibile to passers-by using Argyle Square.
By popular demand, the larger exhibition in the St Fergus Gallery was extended by a week. It attraced 848 visitors - many making repeat visits. Every effort will be made to produce similar showings in the coming months.
The next public showing will be in Caithness Horizons, Thurso, from the 16 - 31 October 2009 and will feature images from the West of the County.
Prints from the Johnston Collection can be purchased in a variety of sizes and can also be mounted on rigid foam-backed board. See this site for details or visit Wick Heritage Museum and make your choice.
